My brother Julian Philip was born on 23rd June 1953, like Danny at 6A The Schools, Ashton Road, Shrewsbury. I was at the time staying with my grandparents at Howthwaite, Grasmere, during half-term at Hillbrow, and remember being called to the phone (Grasmere 68) to hear the good news. Also staying with me at my grandparents was my school friend, David Braidford, who recently (2012) played such an important part in the organisation of the Remembering Hillbrow Reunion.
